Confucius Philosophy, Ethics, And Politics Essay

Have you heard that â€Å"Wherever you go, go with all your heart†? It is one of Confucius’s sayings that I like and always use it to improve my life. Confucius is my favorite philosopher. He was a Chinese philosopher, politician, teacher, and the founder of the Confucian School. He was born in 551 BCE, and his father was a military officer in Lu state. His main contributions are on philosophy, ethics, and politics fields. He authored many of the Chinese classic texts on bamboo tablets, including Five Classics and Four Books. Five Classics consist of the Book of Odes, Book of Documents, Book of Changes, Book of Rites, and The Spring and Autumn Annals. Four Books consist of The Great Learning, The Doctrine of the Mean, Confucian Analects, and The Works of Mencius. Because Confucius was a famous philosopher and teacher, his had three thousand disciples who were from different states, and seventy-two intellectual students who helped him edited classic texts and promulgat ed his thinking. Confucianism emphasized personal and governmental morality, sincerity and justice. People in the world grow up from different traditions, belief, and family background, so they must have different purposes for their lives. They might want a big house, a better job, or a beautiful wife in their lives. I respect their lives of philosophy and values of life.
